Okay, this is not original in any way, but it is important. Write a grant for your school or classroom.  Make it your New Year's resolution.  Sure, many resolutions are not kept for the whole year, but if you can just keep this one for
a couple of months, you may change the course of your school.
You may truly change students' lives.

Thousands and thousands of grants are available to schools.
Probably hundreds are available to you and your situation.
This is free money.  You don't pay it back, and all that it
costs you is time and effort to apply.   Don't put it off.
Start today by doing a free grant search at our website:

http://www.schoolfundingcenter.info

By all means, make your usual New Year's resolutions:
lose weight, start exercising, stop smoking, be nice to animals---all good and worthwhile changes.  But also,
add that one resolution that will benefit those around
you.  Write that grant!

Now Is the Time
by Don Peek

Right now is one of the best times to write a grant.

First, many state and federal grants are announced at this
time of year.  If you're not using our grant database, go
to the individual state education websites or go to:

http://www.ed.gov for a listing of federal grants for
which your school may be eligible.

If you're more interested in foundation grants, it's still
one of the best times to apply.  Many foundation accept applications on a quarterly basis, and this is the
beginning of a new year and a new quarter.  Again, use
our website database to find these easily, or look up individual foundations for grant information.

Finally, the new year is a perfect time to put off the
old and do new things.  Writing a grant for your school
is a great way to start the year and do some good for all
the students and teachers around you.

January is a perfect time to write a state, federal, or foundation grant for your school.  Please don't miss the opportunity.

And if you don't want to spend the time looking up all the grants you're eligible for individually, go to The School Funding Center database where we list them all for you in one place.

The School Funding Center's database at
http://www.schoolfundingcenter.info
will help you match your needs to the grants that are available.  We include live links to email and websites of
granting organizations whenever available.
Usually address, phone, and/or fax is included.

  2. Don't just concentrate on large grants; smaller grants can be helpful, too.
  3. Use your latest test scores to prove your need for a  grant.

Q & A
===========================================================

Q.  Are many grants announced after January 1st each year?

A.  As a matter of fact, they are.  Many federal and state
grants begin to show up, and often foundation grant
requirements are reviewed and changed from prior years.
The School Funding Center will include each of these
in its grant database as they become available.
