1. Peace Projects from the Journalists and Writers Foundation (JWF)- Acknowledging the critical importance of supporting peace-building and conflict resolution initiatives, JWF is soliciting creative and innovative projects that aim to prevent and respond to conflicts around the world; promote peaceful coexistence through dialogue; and foster pluralism, good governance, freedom of belief, justice and reconciliation, social and economic development, respect for human rights, and gender equality and empowerment. Proposals for supporting or advancing already existing projects are not eligible. However, project proposals for new stages or using the previous implementations as a model in different areas are accepted.

2. Improving Community Education Grants from the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation- The foundation believes education, economic participation and community engagement are critical to moving low-income Americans toward greater prosperity. These three areas are the pillars of their program to address poverty in the U.S. Funding is made under three objectives: Improving Community Education- To ensure that community education serves as a pathway out of poverty for children in low-income communities; Expanding Economic Opportunity- To expand opportunity for those in, or at risk of, persistent poverty by promoting policies and programs that increase income and assets, help people connect to the labor market, and enable them to advance into better-quality, higher-paying jobs; and Building Organized Communities- To enhance the power and effectiveness of the community-organizing field in order to strengthen and sustain the involvement of low-income communities in shaping their futures.

4. School Garden Grants from the Whole Kids Foundation- School gardens are a vital educational tool. Every seed planted sprouts a new opportunity for kids to cultivate healthy eating habits. Teaching kids to garden helps them learn about complex topics like sustainability and conservation, food systems and community awareness. Not to mention an appreciation for food from seed to plate. Learning about the process of growing food helps children develop a deep understanding of the connection between healthy eating and a healthy body. School gardens offer an opportunity to integrate math, science and health curriculum into a dynamic, interactive setting. They also provide a base of knowledge that allows children to take an active role in healthy food choices.

5. Foundation Grants from Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation – Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation supports innovative projects that help youth with disabilities develop the leadership and employment skills they need to succeed, particularly for careers in science, technology and the environment. Its purpose is to recognize and encourage the integration of a quality technology education program within the school curriculum. 8. NFL Player Matching Youth & High School Football Grant Program from the National Football League Foundation- the NFL Player Matching Youth and High School Football Grant Program allows current NFL players who make financial contributions to approved youth and/or high school football programs to receive matching grants of up to $5,000 for those respective programs. Grant awards must be earmarked for non-salary/non-personnel related costs including the purchase of football field equipment, uniforms, helmets, field refurbishment projects, etc. This grant initiative indicates the NFL Foundation’s support for current NFL players who give back to their communities via football and also supports youth and high school football needs nationwide.

9. Yearbook Adviser of the Year from the Journalism Education Association- the National High School Yearbook Adviser of the Year program is designed to honor outstanding high school advisers and their exemplary work from the previous year, as well as throughout their careers. A $1,000 award for the winner’s school, and up to four $500 awards for Distinguished Advisers’ schools, may be used to buy equipment for the yearbook classroom or to fund student scholarships to summer workshops. The Yearbook Adviser of the Year will have his or her travel and hotel paid for the convention when he or she receives the award. In addition, the recipient will also receive a personal $500 prize.

10. USGA Alliance Grants from the National Alliance for Accessible Golf – Grants support organizations which provide opportunities for individuals with disabilities to learn and enjoy the game of golf and its inherent values. The Alliance and the USGA share the belief that the game of golf is exceptionally well-suited to allow individuals with disabilities to participate in a recreational or competitive activity with participants who have various types of disabilities as well as those who do not have disabilities. We encourage inclusive programming – opportunities that allow participants with disabilities and participants without disabilities to learn and play the game side by side.

    I am looking for some kind of grants sponsors for my high school junior to go to private for educational purposes and to play football he is extremely talented football player with hopes to go to D1 then to the NFL we are a low income family and I am a single mother of three.
