1. “Living in a Material World” Teacher Grants from the ASM Materials Education Foundation- the ASM Materials Education Foundation sponsors 20 annual grants for K-12 teachers to help bring the real world of materials science into their classrooms. “Living in a Material World” grants recognize teacher creativity.

2. Library Grants from the Laura Bush Foundation for America’s Libraries- the Laura Bush Foundation for America’s Libraries provides print books to the K-12 school libraries and students that need them the most. Grants of up to $5,000 are available to update, extend, and diversify the book collections of school libraries throughout the United States. Grants are made to individual schools rather than to school districts, foundations, or other entities.


3. Unsung Heroes Awards Program from Voya Financial- Each year 100 educators are selected to receive $2,000 to help fund their innovative class projects. Voya Unsung Heroes implement creative, unique educational programs that help students reach new heights.

4. Journalism Grant from the McCormick Foundation- the Foundation’s Journalism Program supports nonprofit organizations and educational institutions conducting programs that contribute to projects that enhance content, build news audiences and protect the rights of journalists. Letters of Inquiry for requests under $50,000 may be submitted anytime, while LOIs for requests over $50,000 must be submitted by the May 1st deadline.

5. Let’s ALL Play Partnership from the National Inclusion Project – Let’s ALL Play brings an inclusive recreational experience to children with disabilities. As a national leader in the movement toward full inclusion, the National Inclusion Project is proud to partner with community organizations that are seeking to programmatically open doors for ALL children to learn, live, and play together. Through training, consulting, and funding, the Project will meet organizations where they are and help them to implement quality programs that impact children and families in their communities.

6. Education Grants from the Kinder Morgan Foundation- Grants are primarily directed to educational programs for youth in grades K-12. Funding is provided to local, state, provincial and regional educational institutions, libraries and programs that provide ongoing support, such as Junior Achievement. The foundation also supports youth programs provided by local arts organizations, symphony orchestras, museums and others. Student Achievement Grants from the NEA Foundation- the NEA Foundation provides grants to improve the academic achievement of students in U.S. public schools and public higher education institutions in any subject area(s). The proposed work should engage students in critical thinking and problem solving that deepen their knowledge of standards-based subject matter. The work should also improve students’ habits of inquiry, self-directed learning, and critical reflection.

Instrument Grants from the Classics for Kids Foundation- Classics for Kids Foundation offers matching grants toward the purchase of high quality stringed instruments and mentoring to nonprofit music programs serving young people grades 3-12. CFKF works only with instrument providers that assure the highest craftsmanship, sound, and ease of playing, so that young players gain the fullest benefit with their instrument.


9. Foundation Grants from the Easton Sports Development Foundation II- The goal of The Easton Sports Development Foundation is to promote the sport of archery and/or bow hunting and continue these efforts through college and university programs. We want to be a catalyst in the development of archery as a mainstream sport and help it to grow at the state, regional, and national level. Requests for less than $25,000.00 can be submitted at any time.
